I've always found circular appliqués to be the most difficult to cut by hand and to have them look symmetrical. This die absolutely ends that frustration.

I just finished cutting fusible backed fabric ovals for Easter Eggs. Was able to cut 5 fused layers....yay!
The spacing is way better on this die to do the sizes separately and the two tone foam was a great help.
Terrific shape.

Love these but want more and bigger ones.. so can use as frames for a variety of different sized photos.. Last quilt I made used 24 photos and had to make square frames for each.. would have loved to add variety with circle and oval frames ... How about some an inch and a half different in sizes to make nice oval and circle frames!

Basic shapes are essential Staples for us Crafters!
With Ovals you can make lots of Penny Rugs FAST! they are usually done in Circles or Ovals and are layered one upon the other then blanket stitched around each layer. Makes great table runners, place-mats, mug-rugs, doilies, quilt trims.
You can also make Pumpkins! Lay two Ovals side by side but separated about half an inch. Then lay another Oval centered over the half inch space, now you have a 3-D pumpkin! You can blanket stitch around each curve of the Oval/Pumpkin or use darker thread to shadow those curves. Just need to stitch on or paper craft a vine and leaves....so sweet for fall!

I thought about using them to iron on card stock then do either decorative stitches or use a fine tip permanent marker to decorate around them...for greeting cards.

I am thinking backgrounds for other shapes to really highlight them! Eyes... Now is the time to make an Easter quilt! How easy with this die!!! And my grandson takes shapes and makes them into animals. So, give him a stack of them to make up animals, then applique them onto a quilt just for him!
