This die is part of the 'GO! Die to Try' program. In this program, new die designs are tested to measure consumer interest and ultimately determine which designs will become permanent members of the GO! product line. GO! Die to Try dies are only available on accuquilt.com.Die Specifications:

Storage: Organize GO! dies with AccuQuilt GO! Die Storage Rack (55115).
Die Tips:
- Cut up to 6 layers of cotton fabric at a time. For thicker fabrics, start with fewer layers and build up.
- With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
- Use cutting plastic that matches size of each die.
- For best results, cut with die blades running under roller at an angle. Do not cut with blades parallel to roller.
- Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
- Some dies feature specially designed corners to aid in alignment and pre-cutting.
- For fast applique, apply fusible web to fabrics, then cut shapes with dies.
- Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
- It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.
Care & Maintenance: Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, with the die pick provided with the cutter, remove any threads embedded between blades and foam. It's normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick. Die blades never need to be sharpened.
Warranty: AccuQuilt GO! dies are guaranteed for one year.

Overall Rating A fan of elephants, I would never buy, or use, an elephant die with the trunk down. It is unfortunate that AccuQuilt was not aware of this superstition when it created this die. Yes, it is just a superstition. However, how many of us do not walk under ladders?

Overall Rating i was thinking of getting this one not sure yet. Kelly did you share your finished product on Facebook ? to see it sounds adorable. I have a friend daughter who is having a baby soon and elephants is the theme. seems to be the trend with the younger generations. I did read the review about the trunk of an elephant is bad luck when it is Down but that all goes with superstitious beliefs I guess. and everyone of course has theirs right to believe in them or not.

Overall Rating I fell in love with this die the minute I saw it! Now that have it, I have found that the small elephant can be cut out of the large heart. I am so gonna have fun with my valentine's wall hanging this year!!

Overall Rating I just made a beautiful piece of fabric art with these elephants and I wanted to share something, the large elephant can "intertwine" trunks with another one. It is very sweet. I had two big elephants intertwining trunks then little elephants stacked on top for all the kids. It was quick and looks beautiful. And of course always accurate cuts!!
