AccuQuilt Celebrates National Embroidery Month

(FREMONT, Neb., February 7th, 2011) AccuQuilt, the leader in fabric cutting solutions for quilting and fabric crafts, joins quilters everywhere in the celebration of February’s National Embroidery Month. This is the first year AccuQuilt will join the celebration after the addition to the GO!® product line of compatible digital embroidery designs in the spring and fall of 2010.

“Quilters had been asking us to have our GO! die designs available for digital embroidery,” said Steve Nabity, AccuQuilt CEO. “We started by partnering with the talented embroidery designer, Sarah Vedeler, which helped us move into the digital embroidery arena. Then we formed a partnership with UniversalDigitizing.com to make more designs available for our GO! users.”

“We are proud of our manual fabric cutters—no batteries or electricity are required to use them—but it was time for us to enter the digital age,” said Linda Pumphrey, AccuQuilt National Sales Manager. “We couldn’t be happier to join in the embroidery celebration this year. Digital embroidery requires a great deal of precision when used with appliqué shapes. This meshes perfectly with the accurate cuts received when using the GO!® or GO! Baby™ Fabric Cutters. It’s a perfect marriage making quilters’ lives easier and helping them achieve perfection in their quilting.”

The GO! and GO! Baby Fabric Cutters enable users to cut appliqué shapes in seconds, and digital embroidery helps create gorgeous designs in just a few minutes. The digital embroidery designs utilize various GO! appliqué dies such as the GO! Round Flower, GO! Critters, GO! Feathers, GO! Fall Medley and GO! Baby, Baby dies as well as all of Sarah Vedeler’s licensed GO! die designs. The embroidery designs are available in a wide range of file formats to suit many customers. Seven GO! compatible digital embroidery CDs are currently available.

AccuQuilt plans to celebrate National Embroidery Month with a dedicated embroidery sale on accuquilt.com Feb. 7-27. AccuQuilt’s Facebook page is also jumping into the celebration by offering an embroidery contest to engage fans. Watch facebook.com/accuquilt for contest details.

GO!® digital embroidery CDs, GO!® fabric cutting dies, the GO! Baby™ Fabric Cutter and GO!® Fabric Cutter are available at local quilt and fabric retailers. Quilters can also purchase them, along with the Studio™ Fabric Cutter and hundreds of Studio™ quilting dies; by visiting accuquilt.com or calling 888.258.7913.
