I’m a Nebraska Cornhusker who loves GO BIG RED football even with my Mechanical Engineering Degree from Iowa State and MBA from Kansas University. I married my high school sweetheart and have the two greatest kids on earth and one in Heaven. I’m happiest in the great outdoors hunting with our two black labs or traveling with family. I equate business to coaching a football team. My favorite sayings are Head West!, Where's the Puck? and It's only Creative if it Sells. My team is also familiar with other ‘Steve’isms’ such as Since Hector was a Pup and Monkey Butts. I am blessed with a great team and customers who challenge us to be the best. Thank you for your support and making AccuQuilt the best! Heading West!

I was born and raised on a dairy farm in Morse Bluff, Neb., (pop. 128) where there was never a shortage of milk, cows or company (8 siblings). On a whim at 18, I moved to New York to be a nanny. I ended up spending 10 years on the east coast where I received a BFA in graphic design from the State University of New York at Purchase and started my career in a field that I absolutely love. At AccuQuilt, I’m the Marketing Director but I am also known as the ‘Master of All Creative’. I literally eat, sleep and breathe GO! green. When not at work, I’ve been known to design children’s books, partake in local art projects and of course, I quilt too!

I have over 30 years of consumer merchandising and marketing experience in the retail world. I have been a buyer to a Senior VP leading the entire marketing and merchandising division of a $700MM company. My passion is serving the customer and love to see how they react to the product and services we offer them. Their vote (purchase) affirms we are meeting their needs. My role at AccuQuilt is to insure our brand promise is alive and well and is clearly communicated in everything we do. Secondly I support our retail partners to insure AccuQuilt is presented and shared with their customers in a way to bring the brand promise to life as well to help meet their sales and profit objectives. My family is my life and I have been blessed with two great kids and a marriage (we just celebrated 35 years.)

I started with AccuQuilt in 2012 after honing my skills in the manufacturing sector. I was drawn to AccuQuilt as I wanted to join a team focused on being the best at what they do. The enthusiasm and dedication to providing the best product for their customers was clear when I toured the company and spoke with the employees. Every day brings new knowledge, new learning, new challenges and new opportunities which I enjoy.

I am a city boy turned country guy. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, I attended Western Illinois University earning my degree in Marketing. I met the love of my life in college and we have been married for 25 years. I have two amazing children who are both “Huskers”, they attend University of Nebraska, and Go Big Red is a common phrase. Our other child is a 120 lb black lab named Jake. My favorite phrase is “show me the math”. When I am not in the hunt for new opportunities or negotiating a deal you will find me spending time with my family, or fishing in Wisconsin.

I joined AccuCut on 3/19/12—and became part of the AccuQuilt team 2/5/13 when the Purchasing Department was combined. I am responsible for Purchasing and Inventory Management for all items in AccuQuilt and AccuCut. I love the culture at AccuQuilt – it truly is a family – not just people you work with. I love the quilts—it reminds me of my Grandmother who loved quilting, and I am fortunate to have some of her hand made quilts, and hope to pass this love down to my two daughters. I was born & raised in Omaha and I started my career in Retail 15 years holding positions in Inventory Management, Buying and Category Management. I love the fast pace of retail and making sure that we are making our customer’s happy every day! I am married with two beautiful daughters who are the light of my life!

I am new to the AccuQuilt family and quilting. I have been a sewer in the past, but never a quilter. There is a lot of inspiration to draw from at AccuQuilt so I am looking forward to making my first quilt. I have previous experience in Merchandising and Inventory Management. I have lived most of my life in Omaha and I am married and a proud mom to a teenage son and elementary age daughter.

I’ve worked at AccuQuilt for 2 years, and would love to give you a tour of our facility. I have been quilting for about 15 years, and I'm hooked! One of my most precious treasures is a quilt that my great-grandmother and her sisters made. The pattern is Grandmother's Flower Garden and is completely pieced and quilted by hand. I'm married and have 2 sons. All my guys are amazing artists, and both my sons love soccer. Being on the sidelines, yelling for my boys, is one of my favorite things! Cooking is another one of my passions, and at our house we only eat warm, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies - along with a glass of cold milk!

I am new to the AccuQuilt family and new to the quilting world. I come to AccuQuilt with experience in Marketing and Merchandising and I am very excited to have joined such an enthusiastic team. It is refreshing to see so many professionals enjoying their jobs and striving to be better every day. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, golfing, travelling and cooking. I also enjoy trying new things, so I am excited to start my first quilting project!
I am anything but your typical accountant, which is one of the many reason I enjoy working at AccuQuilt! I have a creative, artistic side with a passion for design to help balance my love of financials. While I have made a few quilts in my life, I am definitely a Quiltin’ Noobie. Chasing my three daughters leaves me dizzy, but in my spare time I enjoy scrapbooking, leading my daughters’ Girl Scout Troops, and am a proud gamer girl!

I’m a mostly self-taught quilter with a sewing background working with costumes and a work background in sales and training. I’m currently learning the ins and outs of machine embroidery! I love spending time in our Dream Studio and always have several project ideas “brewing”. I’m married and have 2 wonderful daughters. My favorite quilt block is anything with a star!
I am looking forward to making my first quilt! I don’t have much experience in quilting, ok I have none. But I was told that I am in the right place to learn! I am always up for a challenge and love to learn new things. I am married and a proud mom to two boys. As a family we enjoy traveling, playing sports and being active with cub scouts.

Favorite Quilt Block - Stretched Star
I am originally from Massachusetts. I got my Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems at UMass Dartmouth. I have been in Omaha for almost 5 years now. I enjoy managing the IS for AccuQuilt, and getting to work with a great group of people.
Once upon a time, back in 2008, AccuQuilt branched from its parent company AccuCut to cater exclusively to quilters. They wished to create a company culture that truly reflected the diversity of quilting.
AccuQuilt employees were a part of this creative movement. Many were seasoned quilters and if not already bitten by the quilting bug, they soon would be, as employees were asked to quilt for two hours each week.
AccuQuilt recently moved into a new castle in Omaha, Nebraska (though some merely described it as an extraordinary workplace). It was a quilter's dream come true with a museum-quality gallery of rotating fabric arts exhibits and a state-of-the-art quilting studio.
They wanted to share their quilting knowledge through educational resources, quilting events and social media so AccuQuilt hosted Barn Quilt Contests and Let's GO! Quilting Retreats. They thought it was the perfect way to mix business with pleasure and the quilters around the world who submitted designs and flocked to the retreats agreed.
And the AccuQuilt employees were happy. They felt as though the company was a family, a tight-knit group of quilting enthusiasts who loved what they did and took great pride in helping others create fabric masterpieces.
But that isn't the end of the AccuQuilt tale.
AccuQuilt continues to spread the joy of quilting by offering friendly and knowledgeable customer service, educational opportunities, facility tours, events and a line of quilting products that help customers make truly magical creations. As long as there are quilters, there is never an end to the story.
AccuQuilt - Quilting happily ever after.
