Overview

For precise squares in a fraction of the time, use the GO! Square-3 1/2" (3" Finished) die. With this die and your GO!, GO! Baby, GO! Big, or Studio fabric cutter, you'll create two perfect 3 1/2" squares per layer of fabric. These pieces include a 1/4" seam allowance for a finished size of 3".

Use GO! dies with your GO! and GO! Baby Fabric Cutters to cut precise, accurate shapes in just seconds.

Features and Benefits:

  • Cut so much more in less time—Cut up to 6 layers of 100% cotton fabric at once
  • Easiest to use—Simply place die on cutter, then fabric and cutting mat on top
  • Get accurate cuts every time—No slipping rulers or mistakes
  • Create quilts you never thought you would—AccuQuilt makes cutting curvy classic quilt patterns a snap
  • Save fabric with Two Tone Foam—Get more out of your fabric by placing it only over the shape you want to cut
  • Safe to use—No blades come anywhere near your fingers
  • No more math—Geometric shapes are designed with an accurate 1/4" seam allowance in the design
  • Quilt more, clip less—No more clipping all those dog-eared corners
  • Quick and easy applique—Apply fusible web to fabric prior to cutting

Storage: Organize GO! dies with AccuQuilt GO! Die Storage Rack (55115).

Care & Maintenance: Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, with the die pick provided with the cutter, remove any threads imbedded between blades and foam. It's normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick. Die blades never need to be sharpened.

Die Tips:

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Use cutting mats that matches size of each die.
  • For best results, cut with die blades running under roller at an angle. Do not cut with blades parallel to roller.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Some dies feature specially designed corners to aid in alignment and pre-cutting.
  • For fast applique, apply fusible web to fabrics, then cut shapes with dies.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

Warranty: AccuQuilt GO! dies are guaranteed for one year.

    2 is not enough

I thought I would get more use out of this, but after trying it once, I probably won't use it again. I understand the need for it to be an on angle, but that just makes it harder to use. And the fact that it only cuts 2 squares doesn't make it very efficient. I needed 104 squares and after trying it, it just didn't seem worth the hassle and the waste of expensive fabric.

Instead, I used my 3.5 inch strip die and cut strips, and then cut the squares from those with my rotary cutter. I do LOVE the strip dies. Just not this one.

    A Must Have

Love this die!!! It's a must have in your collection for "down to basics" and the pattern is gorgeous. I love the patterns that come with patterns.

    Most Used Die So Far

I've been foundation piecing segments for a double wedding ring quilt and this makes pieces just the right size for me to use (before sewing and trimming down). I have both the Go! and Go Baby cutters and it is nice that this one works with the Baby cutter because I can cut more squares without having to change modes in my workspace (I have a small workspace right now and would need to put away my machine to get the full sized Go cutter out). It would be nice if they could fit more squares on the die, but then it wouldn't fit the Baby. After using it a bit (and of course the right sized cutting mat), it's not cutting cleanly all the way around any more. I've tried using the picks to clean out stray threads from the die, but I suspect I need a new cutting mat. I wish those held up a little better. Overall though, a very handy, useful die.

    Reply from AccuQuilt:

Thank you Christina! The cutting mats do eventually wear out after a good number of cuts. To extend the life of your cutting mats, flip the mats over or spin them around 180 degrees when making several passes through the cutter with one die. This keeps the blades from cutting in the same place and you'll get more cuts out of them.

    Sincerely,
    The AccuQuilt Team

    Excellant product

Really handy as i cut a lot of these squares and works perfectly every time.

not the die than I use so often

I have this die for over 6 months now. I haven't have a chance to open and use it yet. I hope there are dies that cut 3" square, 4" square and 6" square too. So i can cut out more charm pack to share with my friends when we make the charity quilts. I know I can use the strips die to cut the square but the square die will be better for me. Anyway, this is still a wonderful die to assembly the quilt.

    Fast and Wonderful

I have this die and used it a lot for my patch work bags which I made/make a lot of. They are the favorite of people that like to buy items from me. I had to figure out that it is a bit tricky with the fabric not going straight on that, I saw that this was addressed in a video. I have made several reviews of the Accuqullt. I think it is one of the best products on the market. The packaging and the engineering of the products are just first class. I would love to purchase a lot more, but so far it is Christmas and birthdays that I can buy them. I hope when they get bigger (not better, they already are that) that the prices will come down. Thank you accuquilt for such a great product.
