Care & Maintenance: Cutter For best results, always keep your Studio 2 fabric cutter clean and lint free. To clean the fabric cutter inside and out, use a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasives, solvents and spray cleaners. If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth, then polish with a dry cloth. Use canned air to clear lint from roller area. The steel roller never needs replacing and withstands years of die cutting use. Please note: Some assembly is required when first setting up your Studio 2 Fabric Cutter.

Care & Maintenance: Dies Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, remove any threads imbedded between blades and foam. It's normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick (55105). Die blades never need to be sharpened.

      I am delighted I bought a Studio 2

My best quilting buddy was correct -- just go on and go with a Studio cutter. I got the Studio 2 and I absolutely love it. Yes, it is heavy so be sure you have a spot all picked out to set it up. I am also glad I got a drop leaf craft table (got mine from Joannes\' fabric on sale) -- it is just right for a cutting center. Don\'t be afraid to spring for the big guy.... don\'t regret going with a smaller cutter. Just sayin! And... grab this big guy NOW while on sale..!

      I\'ve caught the quilting bug!

I was having so much trouble cutting my fabric by hand that I nearly gave up quilting
altogether. When I saw the Studio 2 I knew my problems were a thing of the past. With the Bread and Butter starter kit I now have tons of shapes and sizes to choose from. The arrangements for blocks is endless. It\'s so simple to use that I was cutting within minutes of unpacking my machine. The tips and tutorials are amazing too.

      Go Cutter

I was surprised at how fast you could cut strips for binding and borders. I use mine all the time. I am going to order the Studio so I can cut 10\" squares.

      Love, Love, LOVE

I purchased the Go cutter 2 years ago to make rag quilts. Love them for baby gifts and for the grandchildren. A friend and I used the cutter so many times, probably made 40 quilts in the two years. The dies continued to get dull and had to replace them, so I decided to sell it and get the Studio cutter.

The Studio cutter has made such a difference, just love it!!! The dies do not get dull. It is the best investment!!

Cut to the Chase: Get the Studio Fabric Cutter

I do not have the Studio 2, but I do have the Studio Fabric Cutter, which I love. I bought this in 2011 and love the way it cuts and saves me time. When I cut strips and shapes, the cutter is incredible because I do not have to worry about the ruler slipping, which it invariably does. With my Studio, I know that my cuts will be accurate, and they are. As a previous reviewer said, the Studio does not replace my rotary cutter, but the Studio sure saves me lots and lots of time and enables me to use my rotary cutter and mat less and less.

I also have purchased the required components in order to use GO! Dies, so I have the best of both worlds. Any pattern I want to use that requires GO! Dies, I can use with no problem.

The tray sizes available for the Studio are also excellent along with the cutting mats that last longer than I thought they would.

Some potential users might be worried about turning the handle to move the fabric and dies; however, the handle turns easily to move the tray filled with a die and fabric. I have never had a problem.

If there is any down size to the Studio Cutter, it is the weight and size. I have not yet purchased the upgrade kit to allow me to fold my cutter, so it currently has a permanent place on my cutting table and does take up some space.

If one should decide to purchase the Studio Cutter, I highly recommend the purchase of a book called The Big Little Book of Fabric Die Cutting Tips by Ebony Love. In this book she gives very exact directions on how to place fabric and get the most from your Studio Cutter.

All in all, I love my Studio and am thrilled with my purchase. I would highly recommend this die cutting machine to any quilter.

      Fun, slick and quick

I borrowed a friends Studio and have had a blast quickly cutting myself a few kits . The first day I cut 6 baby sets in less than 2 hours from figuring out the fabrics, pressing and cutting.

It is so much fun seeing the pieces perfectly cut and ready for sewing in just minutes.

Once you start it is hard to stop, there is no end to what combinations you can cut to make beautiful quilts.

My husband was so impressed plus knowing the size of my fabric stash and hate for trying to cut straight even pieces he ORDERED me the Studio 2. I'm so excited and can not wait to get it.

Definitely recommend for everyone who has the love of fabric and struggles to get those perfectly straight easy to piece blocks.

Wow I've been googly eyed for an Accuquilt cutter for so long!

I recently received my Studio 2 and I'm thrilled that I took the time to do research and choose this cutter. Although, quilting is a hobby, this cutter makes my life as a stay at home mom so much more enjoyable and I can get more cutting done in less time which is important with a 2 year old at home.

      It's an AMAZING, time-saving machine!

I will first say that I have the Accuquilt Studio machine that did not come with the foldable sides. My husband bought my Studio cutter for me for Christmas. I'm an avid quilter and the Studio does a fantastic job cutting fabric in the shapes I need in a fraction of the time it would take me to do so, with a rotary cutter and rulers. Now I won't say that the Studio replaces my need for a rotary cutter, completely, but it sure cuts down the use of the rotary method by 85-90%. Which I absolutely appreciate because I find it's far safer, fabric saving, time-saving to use my Studio cutter!

Before I had my Studio, I spent more time cutting out fabric for my quilts, than piecing and quilting. Now that I have my Studio, it reduces my cut time by 95%! It's easy to crank the handle to feed the dies through my Studio cutter. It's drastically reduces fatigue and arm/hand/shoulder strain when I have to cut a LOT of fabric for multiple quilt projects. In fact having the Studio cutter, allows me to spend far less time cutting fabric and far more time piecing and quilting; making for more finished quilts in less time!

Another thing that I love about the Studio cutter, is that with the proper trays, cutting plastic size(s) and adapter's (for the Go! Dies) can use the entire library of Accuquilt dies. I also like that the Studio cutter is not electric.

This is a hefty machine and I'm fortunate to have a dedicated space for my mine in my craft studio. I will get the foldable sides to adapt my Studio cutter to be like the Studio Cutter 2. I can't see me needing to move my Studio unit much, if at all, but being able to have the sides/ends fold up would make it easier to move (if I ever needed to) but most especially make it easier to store.

I highly recommend this Studio/Studio 2 fabric cutter to any quilter, if they have the space for it! it's a truly amazing machine that cuts my quilt fabrics perfectly and in a fraction of the time as it used to take me. I LOVE my Studio fabric cutter!
