Overview

Die Specifications:

  • Use die with Studio Fabric Cutter (50800) only
  • Required: Requires Small Cutting Plastic (60000)
  • Cuts one 3"W x 1 15/16"H (13 cm x 10 cm) bear shape

Storage: Store Studio dies in AccuQuilt die storage cases or storage racks.

Die Tips:

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Use cutting plastic that matches size of each die.
  • For best results, cut with die blades running under roller at an angle. Do not cut with blades parallel to roller.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Some dies feature specially designed corners to aid in alignment and pre-cutting.
  • For fast applique, apply fusible web to fabrics, then cut shapes with dies.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

Care & Maintenance: Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, with the die pick provided with the cutter, remove any threads imbedded between blades and foam. It's normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick. Die blades never need to be sharpened.

Warranty: AccuQuilt Studio dies are guaranteed for one year.

    Small Bear Die

I ordered the Large and Small Bear Die to make a baby quilt for a friend and was so pleased with the size of both and then pattern of the die itself. I am sure I will be able to use it multiple times in quilts as this is a very trendy pattern at this time. The dies actually matched the bear on the fabric that I bought for the quilt perfectly! Very pleased with this purchase.

    Great Trio!

I am in love with this trio of bear dies! They are perfect for cutting wool appliques and making pillows, table-runners, accents on quilts etc. The possibilities are endless. This could be any type of bear - even a polar bear! The Jumbo and the small together make a great Mom and baby set :-) All three would make a wonderful family of bears!! So many possibilities!

    I HAVE TO ADMIT

OK I have to admit that I have not used this die yet.My family should be afraid.... Very Afraid. I see bears on napkins, pillow cases, table runners... Oh and quilts too. My friend Maggie has several sizes and just loves them. I have to admit, I'm anxious to get lots of bears in the house. GONNA LOVE MY SMALL STUDIO BEAR.
