Lay die flat inside tray with FOAM
SIDE UP. Place fabric on top of
die. If desired, fan fold fabric to
cut multiple layers. Check
orientation of fabric for cutting
non-symmetrical shapes. Place
cutting plastic on top of fabric.

Push die, tray and plastic until
they contact roller. Turn handle
in the direction you want die to
go. If needed, continue pushing
until roller grabs die. Roll die
and tray through cutter.

Remove cutting plastic and
fabric. Occasionally, threads
may need to be snipped
where cutting blades meet
on the die.
Repeat process
from opposite direction.

Storage: Store Studio dies in AccuQuilt die storage cases or storage racks.

Die Tips:

  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Use cutting plastic that matches size of each die.
  • For best results, cut with die blades running under roller at an angle. Do not cut with blades parallel to roller.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Some dies feature specially designed corners to aid in alignment and pre-cutting.
  • For fast applique, apply fusible web to fabrics, then cut shapes with dies.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

Care & Maintenance: Cutter For best results, always keep your Studio cutter clean and lint free. To clean the cutter inside and out, use a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasives, solvents and spray cleaners. If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth, then polish with a dry cloth. Use canned air to clear lint from roller area. The steel roller never needs replacing and withstands years of die cutting use. Please note: Some assembly is required when first setting up your Studio Fabric Cutter.

Care & Maintenance: Dies Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, with the die pick provided with the cutter, remove any threads imbedded between blades and foam. It's normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick. Die blades never need to be sharpened.

Warranty: AccuQuilt Studio Fabric Cutters have a lifetime guarantee. If you experience any defects in material or workmanship, simply notify AccuQuilt and we will repair or replace the cutter at no charge. All cutter die trays and cutting plastic are consumable parts and are not covered by the warranty. Replace trays annually depending on use. All Studio dies are guaranteed for one year.

Super easy Review by Lea
Overall Rating

I have always been hesitant with the rotary cutter... ruler slipping, the rotary blade not cutting all the way through the layers of fabric, or cutting deep into the self-healing mat that didn't seem so self-healing. So when I first saw the Accuquilt cutting system at Paducah, I was very impressed. Like some, I viewed the website for quite a while before taking the plunge. I'm so glad I did and I shouldn't have waited. I just finished my first quilt top and it only took 20 minutes to cut out 144 blocks, not to mention the ease of putting it together. I LOVE this cutting system!! It is simply AMAZING!!

Wish I had not waited so long to buy this! Review by Debra

I'm very pleased with the Bread and Butter set. It contains a useful assortment of dies that can be combined to create a multitude of quilt blocks plus the strip dies. The multiple die packs are a time saver, too. Originally, I purchased this to cut my own stash into usable shapes to speed up the quilt design process then I decided to use it to cut out quilt kits for our guild donation quilts. I had four kits cut in a fraction of the time I previous cut kits with a rotary cutter. It took longer for me to select the fabrics than to cut the kits.

Excited to move into a cutting system Review by Shelia

I've been quilting for 20 years and can't believe it took me this long to move into a cutting system. Love the accuracy this system provides. My 75 year old mother can cut accurate pieces even with her arthritis.

This is the way to Start! Review by Katrina
Overall Rating

I originally started with the Go! as I didn't think that I would enjoy die-cutting as much as I do. When the adapters came out for the Studio I knew that I wouldn't be wasting any dies so I got the Bread and Butter set. This is the way to start! I love the multiples of the shapes. It makes cutting even faster than before - so fast and accurate and easy. The Studio cuts like a hot knife through butter - I would recommend this cutter and set to anyone that has a dedicated quilting space - it is the best.

I ordered this kit December 2011, but was too busy with work to even look at it. I recently took it it out of the box. I love how you can cut your fabric so quickly. I look forward to soon using all of the dies that came with it.

Just Love it Review by Deri
Overall Rating

I started out with the Go and love the light weight portability. I just got the Studio with the bread and butter set. I have arthritis in my hands so the Accuquilt has been a game changer for me on continuing to quilt. I will be using the Go for my road trips.
The material and dies just glide through the Studio accuquilt. I love the larger dies, I just cut a charm quilt pack for a lap size quilt in less than 20 minutes. The handle is super easy to turn. The dies and trays are a little heavy however, I can easily lift them and maneuver them. I also have low back pain and it was so much easier on my back to rapidly cut my quilt on the Studio Accuquilt instead of leaning over a cutting table. And of course, you get a perfect cut.....
I also got the adaptor for using my Go dies on the Studio Accuquilt.
The bread and butter set has an amazing assortment of dies and I loved the savings I got by purchasing the Studio Accuquilt with all the extra dies. I highly recommend the Studio accuquilt with the bread and butter set.
