Why would you choose the 8″ over the 6″ cube?

I’m wanting to know what the difference between the angled and straight 2 inch strip cutters? And how you use the two different types and which one will be more beneficial to have. I’m new at quilting but I have had my go cutter sense they were introduced but have not used it . Thank you for your assistance

When I have a large amout of fabric and want to cut strips, what is the best method to get the fabric into the cutting area without too much waste?

I know I need to line up the fabric so that the fabric is going thru on the lengthwise grain but since the cubes are square which is the correct side to go into the cutter or does it matter.

Thank you for your information.. I would also like to know what size each of the dies in the cube is. If this is noted somewhere else that I have not found, please excuse me. I am debating on a cube but I think I need more information. For example Pam says in the 8 inch cube, there is a large block and small block. What are the dementions?

I got a GO Big from my hubby for Christmas and only have the flying geese die that came with it. I got on the web site and was surprised at the number of dies to choose from. I called and asked which to buy first between the 12 8 and 6 inch cubes. I was told it was a hard question for her to answer and was really a personnel choice. I ordered the 8 inch since it was in the middle and made a little since to me as a starting point. I am now waiting for a catalog the nice lady I spoke to is sending. Looking forward to getting both.
