Description

Circles are a very popular and versatile quilting shape, but they are also one of the hardest to cut accurately. This die cuts a 8" circle to perfection in just seconds. Use this die to cut circles for popular yo-yo projects, polka dots, raw edge bull's-eye concentric circle quilt designs and more!

Die Specifications:

  • Compatible with: GO!® or GO! Baby™ Fabric Cutter
  • Required (not included): Cutting Mat-10" x 10" (55111)
  • Cuts one: 8" Diameter Circle

Storage: Organize GO! dies with AccuQuilt GO! Die Storage Rack (55115).

Die Tips:

  • Cut up to 6 layers of cotton fabric at a time. For thicker fabrics, start with fewer layers and build up.
  • With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
  • Use cutting plastic that matches size of each die.
  • For best results, cut with die blades running under roller at an angle. Do not cut with blades parallel to roller.
  • Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
  • Some dies feature specially designed corners to aid in alignment and pre-cutting.
  • For fast applique, apply fusible web to fabrics, then cut shapes with dies.
  • Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
  • It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.

Care & Maintenance: Use adhesive roller to clean lint and thread from dies. After each use, with the die pick provided with the cutter, remove any threads embedded between blades and foam. It's normal for threads to get caught where blades meet in a die. Remove with tweezers or die pick. Die blades never need to be sharpened.

Warranty: AccuQuilt GO! dies are guaranteed for one year.

Circle appreciation Review by Mary
Overall Rating

I have made several batik circle quilts , easy to make with raw edge sewing and fusible. All three new larger sizes will make the perfect circles for future projects, better then hand cutting and other devices I have used to cut them.

Circle Sets Review by Barbara
Overall Rating

How about a set of all the smaller circles, plus the 6, 8 & 8 1/2!! Then we could have a crazy circle quilt.. I am ready to buy these but haven't been able to make up my mind which to get first!! How about a special deal on the sets of circles. Who wants to use just one size in a quilt I need them all!!

I LOVE this - how about a combo with the 8 1/2"? Review by Maggie
Overall Rating

I would buy this in a heartbeat if it was a combo with the 8 1/2"! Maybe for $60 for the 2 together? I have a ton of projects this would work with :-)!

FANTASTIC Review by Laney
Overall Rating

Got this at the door on Wed., fabric delivered Thur., cut fabric into strips and then sq. and had all 244 circles cut by Thur. evening before 7PM!!! Ready to start making my next rag quilt Friday, never before has it been this quick, and perfect. Thank you AccuQuilt for this perfect 8" circle. I was even able to cut 6 pieces of flannel at time.

It would be great as a two-fer. I would probably use this one along with the larger one. (8.5)

How about a two-fer??? Review by Andrea
Overall Rating

I've done quite a bit of circles, and I will need to buy this along with the 8.5" so I can use the frame of this one with the circle from the 8.5"? Hmmm...how about a "daily deal" on these two together???
