In response to the recent COVID-19 crisis, TekBrands is pleased to announce the family of companies including AccuQuilt, AccuCut, CustomShapePros, and MemoryStitch will be donating $100,000 to No Kid Hungry / Share our Strength.

Shortly after the global pandemic was declared, it became quickly apparent that there would be the need for individuals and organizations to mass-produce both adapted PPE and personal use masks. Due to customer demand, AccuQuilt , Custom Shape Pros, and AccuCut quickly developed and put into production a new die category with 10 mask die options for customers to select. Custom Shape Pros continues to produce any custom requests for mask dies they receive.

Due to the immediate need for these products, we adjusted the manufacturing and supply chain in an effort to more quickly bring these critical dies to customers. We have been honored to partner with 20+ organizations across the country and donate equipment for mass production. With these partnerships and the donated cutters and dies, we have been able to play a part in the donation of over 500,000 masks to various medical facilities, military members, police departments, assisted living facilities, homeless shelters, children’s programs, and other various groups.

But we were compelled to do more. TekBrands will be donating $10 for every mask dies sold by AccuQuilt between April 1, 2020 – August 30, 2020 to No Kid Hungry/Share our Strength – up to $100,000. No Kid Hungry is a non-profit that provides much needed meals for at risk children. When school is in session, these children have access to reduced cost or free lunches, but with the nation-wide school closures, there was an immediate need.

We are humbled by the response of our customers and the need for these products has been apparent. Conservative estimates are that the AccuQuilt products will be  used to create over 1 million masks by the end of the summer. Our customers continue to inspire us to give back with every opportunity, and we are thrilled to be able to donate these funds to No Kid Hungry / Share our Strength.
