Island Batik Baby Quilts Galore!

In February, we surprised the 2019 Island Batik Ambassadors with a Ready. Set. GO! Ultimate Fabric Cutting System and boy, were they excited. We loved getting the chance to watch them unbox their goodies from great companies, including our own. Now, we get to see the amazing things they’re creating with all those treats on their blogs and in social posts.

In April, we challenged the Ambassadors to make a baby quilt using the AccuQuilt GO! fabric cutter and GO! Qube 8” Mix & Match Block. How they approached that task was up to them and their creativity was amazing!

Some Took a Traditional Route

Bea Lee of Beaquilter used her 2016 pattern to create this updated version of the 40 x 48 quilt in a trellis pattern. She chose Island Batik's Feline Fine fabric line, but provided a few color options.

Others Went Scrappy

Talk about fun! Kim LaPacek of Persimmon Dreams used her GO! Qube Block to create this almost 3-dimensional quilt pattern that practically jumps out of the picture! Even better, the pattern is perfect for scrap busting.

Some Went Pink

The Pink Stars quilt pattern from Alison at Little Bunny Quilts is just so sweet for a little one. Though she chose pink, the fabrics could so easily be traded out for any color in the rainbow!

And Some Chose Blue

Hello Star Sweeper! Jennifer of Curlicue Creations used two blocks from Quilt in a Day GO! Qube by Eleanor Burns to make this new quilt design with the GO! Qube Mix & Match.

While Others Chose Shades of Both

CreativeBlonde

It took Michelle of Creative Blonde Blog less than an hour to cut the 625 pieces for this beauty. Even better, there were no dog ears to trim, only sewing.

Meanwhile, Others Wanted to Be Completely Neutral

Some Had Helpers

devotedquilterdevoted2

Leanne of Devoted Quilter worked alongside Silas, the three year old she babysits, to create this quilt. The AccuQuilt GO! is so safe and easy that Silas was able to cut the fabric pieces, and loves it so much he continues to help Leanne cut scraps.
