GO! Hoping for Spring

Hi, this is Bea from Beaquilter again. I'm here to show another tutorial for a cute spring quilt made using the GO! Qube Mix & Match 8" Block, the GO! Drunkard's Path-4" die and the GO! Strip Cutter-2 1/2" die. Even though the Qube is 8" I thought outside the "box" and made the block 16" instead, here the quilt consists of 4 blocks, and with the GO! dies it went together super quickly!

I named this quilt "Hoping for Spring"

Finished size is 36" x 36"

Here are the dies I used.

The QUBE set I used #2, #3 and #5

and then the 4" Drunkard's Path die

and later the 2 1/2" Strip Cutter die

Using die #2 (2" squares finished) I cut out 16 white

die #3 (4" HST finished) I cut out 16 pink and 32 white

die #5 (2" HST finished) I cut out 32 pink

4" drunkard's path die I cut out 32 moon shapes in the dotted batik and 32 outer pieces in white

Then I used the 2 1/2" strip die (2" finished) and cut out 6 strips in white

(Batiks are from Island Batik btw!)

Then I started constructing the blocks and made the middle of the blocks first, then the DP blocks and lastly large white and pink HST blocks

Here is the block done.

I made 4 of these.

Then trimmed one of the long strips to 16 1/2" (x2) and sewed between two blocks twice.

Then added a 34 1/2" strip in between those and onto the sides and lastly 36 1/2" strips to top and bottom.

I densely quilted the quilt with bubbles and feathers and circles

and I added the binding in the dotted batik

Super easy and fun!
