5. Fuse one white star to block center and one blue star to each border corner according to fusible manufacturer instructions. When fusing blue corner stars, do not center the star as you will be adding a binding to your project. The binding will be approximately ¼" all around project. To allow for seam allowance, I placed the star approximately ½" from sewn seams and ¾" from outer edge.

OPTIONAL: Use your FREE AccuQuilt embroidery file downloads and machine embroider around each shape. OR you can machine appliqué / stitch around each shape free-hand. The stars would look fabulous embroidered with red thread!

Quilting and Finishing:

1. Layer batting between project top and backing.

2. Pin or spray baste layers together.

3. Quilt as desired - I chose an all over stippling pattern. If you choose to quilt over your shapes make sure your fusible web is designed for quilting so your needle doesn't become sticky or break (Heat 'N Bond LITE).

4. Cut two 2½" x width of fabric strips for binding. Bind project with preferred method.

I absolutely loved sewing my Fun and Fabulous Fourth of July Table Topper / Mini Quilt! It is the perfect holiday decoration for your home and can easily be used for Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Fourth of July!

PLUS - Did you know you can make this block pattern with ANY of the GO! Qubes? Your finished block (and border) will just be different sizes. Just make sure you use the matching Die 2 and Die 5 (from the same size Qube) and it will totally work!

Let me know if you would like me to show how you can mix and match block sizes in the same project for a future tutorial! I absolutely LOVE the GO! Qube Mix & Match Block System and would love to share more ideas using it!
