The 2015 Quilt Block Design Contest Winners

We are pleased to announce the winners of the AccuQuilt 2015 Quilt Block Design Contest! First up is our grand prize winner, Sherry Rose, whose awesome Rainbow Twinkle design will be displayed outside of AccuQuilt Headquarters on a 17-foot billboard. Sherry, who has been quilting since age 10, lives with her family in Cave Creek, AZ. Sherry's prize package includes a $1,000 shopping spree at AccuQuilt, a feature in Quiltmaker magazine, 10 DVDs from The Quilt Show Series, Craftsy classes worth $150, 270 spools of Aurifil Thread, P&B Textiles, Robert Kaufman, Island Batik, and Andover fabric, and more. We are looking forward to seeing Sherry next month in Omaha!

Next up is second place winner Heidi Fry from Green River, WY. Her design, Abby Burst, is a breath of fresh air. Heidi learned how to quilt while in high school. Her prize package includes a $750 shopping spree at AccuQuilt, 12 large spools of Aurifil Thread, and Robert Kaufman, Andover, and Island Batik fabric.

Finally, the Fan's Choice Winner is Lee McCoy and her Chisel Star design, a lovely block featuring many colorful fabrics. Lee is from Stanton, KY, and started quilting with her mother and grandmothers. Lee will receive a Handi Quilter Academy pass that includes airfare and hotel accommodations, 12 large spools of Aurifil Thread, and Island Batik Fabric Bundles.
