GO! Pillow Talk: May Pole Pillow Pattern

Hello sewists!

I'm back with this month's free May Pole Pillow Pattern! I'm really excited about this one; it was inspired by a May pole. I liked the idea of a weaving fabric. It whips up pretty quick, as there is very minimal cutting or sewing.

You can download the free May Pole Pillow Pattern, which uses the GO! Strip Cutter-1”, 1 1/2”, 2” die, a favorite of mine because it cuts three different sizes. Once you cut the strips, you topstitch them. I love topstitching as it makes everything look more polished. This topstitching is also necessary to stop the fabric from fraying.

When I topstitch, I prefer to use my walking foot. There are loads of markings on walking feet. This is true for most brands. See how so many of the indentations and lines align with the ruler?

The walking foot also gives you more control. This means much straighter stitching lines. Don't be afraid to try out other stitches! You can use a decorative stitch, or something as simple as a zigzag.

Check out another fun version on my blog. See you next month!
