It’s never been easy to create this sweet, classic block. Like a breath of spring air, the die takes this complex block to being a block anyone can make if they can sew a ¼" seam! From screen printed letters and specialized dog ears on the corners to eliminating the Y-seams, this die is sure to be a new favorite.

How to Die Cut 5-color Nosegay Blocks:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. Tip: The die is specially designed to cut one complete 5-color 10" finished block in one pass through the cutter.
- Fabric Color 1: Cut a 7" x 11" rectangle. Fold in half to 7" x 5 1/2". Place over shape A and cut 2.
- Fabric Colors 2 & 3: For each fabric color: Cut a 6" x 9 3/8" rectangle. Fold into thirds. Place over shape B and cut 3.
- Fabric Color 4:
- Cut a 2 5/8" x WOF strip. Fan fold in 2 5/8" widths. Place over shape C and cut 6.
- Cut 4 1/2" x 4 3/4". Fold in half to 4 1/2" x 2 3/8". Place over shape D and cut 4.
- Fabric Color 5:
- Cut an 8 1/2" x WOF strip. Fanfold into 5 5/8" widths. Place overshape F, E and G. Cut 2 shape F, 2 shape E and 6 shape G.
- Cut 4 1/2" x 4 3/4". Fold in half to 4 1/2" x 2 3/8". Place over shape D and cut 4.

Die Tips:
- With some fabrics, after cutting, a thread or two will remain where die blades meet. Snip threads with scissors.
- Blades on some dies are positioned at an angle. Align fabric to edge of shape, not edge of die board.
- Use good quality fabric to reduce fabric stretch.
- It's always a good idea to test cut one shape before cutting many shapes to ensure fabric orientation is correct.
Use adhesive roller or die pick to clean lint and thread from dies. Die blades never need to be sharpened.
