Top 6 Ways to Learn More About AccuQuilt and June Tailor

Welcome, Quilters!

As we celebrate National Quilting Month this month, it’s a great time to look at ways to celebrate quilting – and ways to enjoy quilting even more! One thing I love about quilting is that I’m always learning about new things – techniques, patterns, fabrics and tools to enjoy working with. It’s easy to see how AccuQuilt and June Tailor products fit into this framework, so I want to share some ways for you to learn more about these products along with where you can see them for yourself and purchase them as well.

Quilt Shows

Attending quilt shows is a fantastic way to expand your creativity! Most shows will not only display beautiful quilts but will also have vender booths full of goodies to explore. AccuQuilt is proud to sponsor the lounge area at the 2024 AQS shows around the country as a way to support quilters and the quilting industry. If you’re attending an AQS Quilt Show, be sure to check out what’s happening in the lounge! Besides providing you with a place to rest and charge your phone, you may just see some of our lovely quilts to inspire you as well.

At the recent AQS Daytona show, Pam Heller was on hand in the booth showing quilters how to cut and sew a block using GO! dies, and retail partner Cut Up & Sew had AccuQuilt and June Tailor products available for purchase in their booth on the vender floor.

Here’s the AQS show schedule for the rest of the year. Please note that staffing, retailers and related AccuQuilt and June Tailor activities will vary from show to show.

  • Paducah April 24-27

  • Grand Rapids, MI August 21-24

  • Lancaster, PA September 11-14

It’s good to know that you don’t have to travel to a regional or national show, like Quilt Festival in Houston, TX to see our products in action! Local shows can be a great place to find area retailers demonstration and selling our products as well.

Museums and Special Programs

March is the perfect time to search out and visit quilt museums! Just down the road from AccuQuilt, in Lincoln, NE you can visit the International Quilt Museum located on the East Campus of the University of Nebraska. The museum is home to the world's largest publicly held quilt collection, dating from the early 1700’s to present and representing quilts from over 60 countries. They host a variety of programs all year round, but have special activities planned for National Quilting Day on March 16, including the chance to get a hands-on demonstration of how AccuQuilt works.

Quilting Friends Know Best

At the end of the day, one of the very best ways to get information about any and all things quilting related is to ask your quilty friends! Any time we ask quilters who are new to using the GO! Fabric Cutting System how they learned about us, the number one answer is from friends! Oh sure, you can find out lots by looking online, from watching videos and seeing ads but we all know you value your friends’ opinions the most! Not only can they tell you how much they love using the product and where they purchased it, but help you use it as well!
