7 Projects for the Upcoming Season

The Time to Start is Now

Football season is upon us, and the holiday season is quickly approaching. If you’re like many of us here at AccuQuilt, you are already starting to think about décor and gifts to fit each season.

You don’t want to wait until the last minute to start making things – so I have some inspiration to get the creative juices flowing.

 

7 Project Ideas

From no-sew projects to quilts, there’s a little bit of everything in here to get you on your way to a fantastic season.

So, let’s look at some great fabric projects!

1.   Turkey Placemats

Bring family together this Thanksgiving with adorable turkey placemats! The GO! Let’s Talk Turkey Placemats Pattern is the perfect way to celebrate togetherness and delicious food!

This fun project uses the GO! Dresden Plates Die.

 

 

2.   Festive Cookie Table Topper

Imagine waking up this winter, to a festive room filled with the scent of warm gingerbread cookies. I can’t wait, personally, and decorating my space with the GO! Dresden Cookie Table Topper is at the top of my to-do list.

This fantastic table topper also uses the GO! Dresden Plates Die. So, this wonderful die can really help you make some adorable holiday-themed items!

 

 

3.   The Modern Star Quilt

I’m a big fan of quilts that draw me in with their patterns and the GO! Twirling Star Quilt (70” x 77” Finished Size) is one of them!

What’s great about this sawtooth pattern is you can change the colorway to fit any season or occasion (By the way, use GO! Quilt to see how this or any pattern looks in a different colorway).

Another great thing about this quilt is that it only uses the GO! Half Hexagon – 4 ½” Sides (4 ¼” Finished) Die and GO! Strip Cutter 2 ½” (2” Finished) 3 Strips Die! That makes this pattern easy to create!

 

 

4.   Scrap Fabric Hot Pad

Protect your tabletops this holiday season with customized hot pads. You can save money by upcycling old, festive shirts to make the GO! Hot Pad.

Of course, you can also use your scrap holiday fabric or choose fabric colors that fit the season. Take it a step further and create some using licensed prints from your favorite team to sport at gatherings.

These quick little projects come together so quickly you could easily make custom hot pad gifts for the holidays or for kids renting their first place.

5.   Turkey Hot Pads

If you love the turkey placemats, then you’re going to want to make matching hot pads, right? Bring it all together for the season. The GO! Courtyard Hot Pad Pattern will look so great on your table next to your GO! Let’s Talk Turkey Placemats Pattern! This pattern also uses the GO! 6.   Scrap Fabric Wreath

This no-sew project idea is a great way to use your scrap fabric to create a celebratory wreath for any season, occasion, or team! Just pick your color palette, cut your strips, and assemble! It’s really that easy! You can even add embellishments to it to really drive the theme home.

7.   Winter Medallion Throw Quilt

If you are looking for your next quilting adventure, then look at this absolutely beautiful throw pattern. This new quilt is called GO! Sparkling Star Throw Quilt. It uses the GO! Qube 10” Companion Set-Angles, GO! Feather Star, and strip cutters.

The feather star quilt block is simply breathtaking! I can’t help but imagine a giant snowflake when I see this quilt. This is most certainly one of my favorite quilts and it would make a fantastic addition to your winter décor.
