Did you know that llamas are very smart, that they can hum and they grow to six feet tall? Well, llamas are also AccuQuilt’s Die to Try for February!
Drama-Free Die to Try Program
The Die to Try program offers an exclusive new die on the first Tuesday of every month.
These dies are available during their release month while supplies last on the AccuQuilt website or at a local retailer. When the next month starts, another new die, even more free quilting patterns and additional tutorials will be available to quilters.
Quilters can vote to add a Die to Try die to our permanent die collection, meaning more quilters will be able to grab the die if they were unable to during its limited edition launch.
Welcome, GO! Llama

The GO! Llama Die makes it simple to grace any number of projects with these adorable creatures in no time at all: simply iron fusible onto the back of your fabric and cut up to four pre-fused layers at a time along with their decorative blankets! This die measures 5” x 10”, meaning that it will work with any GO! Fabric Cutter. Once they are cut, the llama will be 4” wide by 5 3/4” tall and the blanket will be 1 1/2" wide by 1 3/8" tall.
Llamas are such a popular trend in home decor right now, and with the GO! Llama Die, it’s simple to add them to all kinds of items, such as table runners and lamp shades. AccuQuilt also has four brand new, free-to-download patterns spotlighting these adorable creatures.
Pillow Talk

Does it get any cuter than the GO! Llama Flower Cart Pillow? The GO! Rose of Sharon by Sharon Pederson Die creates fun embellishments to help bring the scene to life. Pair that all up with some ribbons and tassels and you’ve got a party of a pillow!
Need a New Quilt?

No problem – when you make the GO! No Prob-Llama Throw Quilt, that is! This festive quilt finishes to 38” x 46”, so it could also do double duty as a wall hanging. Either way, creating the complex-looking design is no problem when you use GO! Dies, including the GO! Qube Mix & Match 6” Block and matching GO! Qube 6" Companion Set-Corners. Top it off with a scrappy flange binding using the GO! Strip Cutter-1 3/4” (1 1/4" Finished) and GO! Strip Cutter-1 1/4” (3/4" Finished) Dies for the perfect finishing touch. The quilt’s detailed directions include binding instructions.
Set a Sweet Table

What happens when you team up the new GO! Llama Die with a couple of Block on Board (BOB) dies? You get the GO! Run-a-Llama Table Runner that's a great weekend project! The GO! Snowball-6" Finished Die provides the perfect space for a llama while GO! Weathervane-8" Finished blocks set them off perfectly. Change out the colors and dress up the llamas for every season because this one’s a winner!
Climb That Mountain!

Get the feel of the Andes for your llamas with the GO! Love My Llama Throw Quilt. Since llamas are such social animals, we’ve teamed them up with several blocks made with the GO! Qube Mix & Match 8” Block and matching GO! Qube 8” Companion Set-Angles for a project that only looks complicated. You won’t believe how fun this one is to put together!
Embroidery Time
Your llamas can be finished off so many different ways – with a straight stich just inside the raw edge, fused onto the project and quilted over the top or by hand, to name a few – but how about machine embroidery? After all, February is National Embroidery Month!

AccuQuilt provides free, downloadable basic machine embroidery designs for the llama and its blanket in your choice of three free outline stitches – blanket, satin and motif - but there’s even more fun you can have with them by purchasing these more detailed embroidery designs as well!
