I have fallen in love with modern quilts. I love their simplicity and use of negative space. This particular quilt has fun with circles. I used a red hand-dyed radiance fabric (half silk, half cotton) for the circles. They reminded me of roses once they were down, so I quilted them that way. I then had fun feathering the background.
Make It Yourself!
This project can be completed much faster and easier using any GO! Fabric Cutter since you can cut the perfect shapes in just one pass.

Materials Needed:
- GO! Circle-2", 3", 5" Die
- GO! Circle-1 1/2", 1 3/4", 2 1/4", 2 1/2" Die
- GO! Big Circle-4", 6", 7", 8" Die
- GO! Strip Cutter-2 1/4" (1 3/4" Finished) for binding
- Fusible web for circles - about ½ to ¾ yard
- Red fabric - 1 yard
- White background fabric - 1 yard
- Binding - white fabric - ½ yard
- Batting - crib size
- Red and white threads
Steps:
- Apply fusible to the back of your red fabric.
- Then, use your various AccuQuilt circle dies to cut out a bunch of circles. Don’t worry about cutting too many.
- Lay out your background fabric and start placing circles until you are pleased with the flow. I laid down the biggest circles first and then added smaller ones.

3. Applique your circles down with the stitch of your choice. I used a double blanket stitch, but you could do zigzag stitching or satin stitching as well.

4. Layer your quilt with batting and backing.

5. Quilt as desired.

6. Bind!

Quilt More with AccuQuilt
While I used red and white, any contrasting colors would work perfectly for this delightful project. However, using a lighter fabric for the background and brighter color for the circles will create an even more eye-catching design. So, be sure to think about what look you want to go for when you select your fabric!
