Peter Cottontail will soon be on his way, so it’s time to whip up some quick Easter projects before the holiday arrives! With so many extended families and groups getting together for the first time in a long while, why not make the most of the holiday?
Set the Table Right
The GO! Eggtastic Table Runner Pattern is the perfect start to your table-scape! This darling runner uses the GO! Drunkard’s Path-4” Finished Die as a starting point for this project.
Applique Time
You can’t go wrong with applique projects for quick and easy fun! There are so many great Easter and spring dies to choose from that you can really let your imagination run wild. Think about using applique shapes to embellish pre-made items, like:
- Tea towels
- Aprons
- Napkins
- Tablecloths or runners
Here’s a quick tea towel project I made using the GO! Gnome Die and the GO! Spring Medley Die.
There’s no pattern for this, but here’s just what I did:
- Iron paper-backed fusible onto the wrong side of the fabrics I wanted to use.
- Cut the shapes on my dies.
- Peel off the paper backing from the cut shapes and create the design.
- Press on with an iron following the manufacturer's directions.
- Stitch down with a straight stitch just inside the edge of the shapes – done!
You can also cut other materials, including felt, craft foam, and even paper. These shapes can be easily glued down for fun no-sew projects to make with little ones. The GO! Spring Medley and the GO! Flower Bunch Dies are great for this. Think about making:
- Cards
- Menu cards
- Place cards
- Gift bags
