Dawn is an accomplished sewist with over 40 years of experience under her belt. In 2007, she started an embroidery business selling embroidery and applique items in her local area, followed shortly after by opening an online store creating personalized applique and shirts. She merged her love of embroidery and quilting 10 years ago by starting Creative Appliques. She has since created over 6,000 designs including applique designs, embroidery fonts and designs and in-the-hoop projects.
Does she ever have time to sleep? She’s also a pattern designer, independent educator, author, product designer and developer!
Getting Started
Dawn is jumping right in and putting her creativity “on parade” with January’s Die to Try™ Die, the GO! Elephant Family.
Quality Matters
Dawn manually digitizes all her designs, and she puts a lot of thought into the proper sequencing and layout of each and every design. This means fewer thread changes, jump stitches and tie offs which all contribute to a faster and more efficient stitch out. Her AccuQuilt designs will all use placement stitching to match your perfectly die cut shapes.
When she isn’t busy creating, Dawn loves spending time with husband, two wonderful daughters and their dog.
